Known for his unusual and cynical jokes, Karunesh Talwar realized his passion for comedy when his father got home a VCR. He has been watching comedy since then and that’s how the comedy bug bit him. His college friends encouraged him to try doing comedy and there’s no looking back ever since.
This young comedian and writer made his way into the comedy scene by winning several open-mic competitions, including the Comedy Store’s RAW. He participated in an open mic contest for Vir Das which opened the doors of comedy for him and he has been here for over five years now. He has also written sketches for AIB Roast. To add on, Karunesh has his own show ‘Paka Mat Na Mote’.
As far as his comedy style is concerned, he prefers standing at one place while he is interacting with the audience, as this makes it look less like a performance. He believes, the audience should feel that the host is talking to them.
