Sapan Verma & His Obsessive Comedic Disorder

Sapan Verma, one of India’s most popular stand-up comedians, has performed at over 1000 live shows, in 10 countries. His comedy special on Amazon Prime ‘Obsessive Comedic Disorder’ was recently released. Therein, he talks about anything under the sun and it is strangely relatable. He is also one of the co-founders of East India Comedy (EIC).
Sapan has done sketch comedy, topical news comedy (‘EIC Outrage’) and specials such as ‘EIC vs Bollywood’, ‘The Ghanta Awards’ and ‘Backbenchers’. Apart from being a comic, he is a writer, director and actor and his videos have fetched more than 1 billion views on YouTube.
He, as well, has written scripts for superstars like Shahrukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, to list a few. Sapan has also scripted the IIFA Awards, Like OK Screen Awards, Filmfare Awards, Star Guild Awards, GIMA and the likes. Not just that, he has written for TV channels like Channel V, NDTV Goodtimes, UTV Bindass, Colors and Star Plus. To add on to the list, he has written for publications such as, The Times of India, DNA, Grazia, Maxim, Deccan Chronicle, India Today, JAM Magazine and MTV Noise Factory.
Furthermore, he was a regular presenter on NDTV Prime’s news comedy show, ‘The Bottom Line’
